It should go without saying that the Arc was well-hidden, after all, we lived on a planet of wandering cybers.
Once upon a time, the enormous metal structure had been something called a “starship,” capable of flying up through the clouds and into the sky above. Once upon a time, it had been part of a fleet of similar vessels, all of which had been engaged in warfare against the cybers. We were the descendants of the crew of that starship, stranded forever on this cyber-infested planet after it crashed and transformed into our home. None of us were certain how it happened, because the last original crew member died over a century ago, but the enormous black scars across the otherwise shiny hull left little to the imagination.
